Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Tibo online booking service. They are an agreement between you and TFJ, Tjaša Fidler Jasnič s.p., Mokrška ulica 51F, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia (registration no. 8492174000, tax no. 63256452; contact: info@tibobooking.com) (“we”, “us”), the operator of the service and your contracting party for it. (An appointment itself is arranged with the shop you book with, see section 2.) By using the service or making a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Tibo lets barber shops and salons publish a booking page where their clients can choose a service, a staff member, and an available time, and book an appointment. It also includes TIBO, an AI assistant that answers customers on the shop's page and helps shop owners in their dashboard, appointment notifications by email and, where a shop's plan includes it, SMS, and an optional Google Calendar connection for shop owners.

We provide the software. Each shop is responsible for its own services, prices, staff, opening hours, and for honouring the appointments made through its page.

Tibo is in early access: features, plans and availability may change, and not every feature is available to every shop.

2. Bookings

When you book, you agree to provide accurate contact details (name, and email or phone) so the shop can reach you about your appointment. You will receive confirmations, reminders, and cancellation or reschedule notices about it by email and, where the shop's plan includes SMS, by text message. Each text message contains a link to opt out of further texts.

A confirmed booking reserves a specific time with a specific staff member. Times are shown in the shop’s local timezone.

3. Cancellations and no-shows

If you cannot attend, please cancel or contact the shop as early as possible so the time can be offered to someone else.

Each shop sets its own cancellation and no-show policy and will let you know its terms; if you are unsure, check with the shop before booking.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no fake or automated bookings, no attempts to disrupt availability for others, no attempts to access data that is not yours, and no attempts to manipulate the AI assistant into acting outside its purpose.

AI replies can be inaccurate; check the confirmation you receive for any booking.

We may refuse or cancel bookings, and restrict access, where misuse is suspected.

5. Your data and privacy

We collect the booking details you provide and use them to operate the booking service, including notifications and the AI assistant. We do not sell your personal data.

For details on how personal data is handled, who is responsible for it, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights, see our Privacy Policy at /privacy, or contact us using the details in the introduction above.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, response times or any particular level of support. Features may change over time as the product improves.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date at the top of this page.

7. Limitation of liability and indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for missed appointments, indirect losses, or issues arising from a shop’s own conduct or availability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to the next paragraph, our total liability to a shop owner for all claims arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the total fees that shop paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Slovenian or EU law.

If you are a shop owner, you confirm that you are lawfully entitled to give us your customers’ personal data for the purposes described in section 8, and you are responsible for the content you publish through Tibo (for example your shop profile, services, prices, photos and messages). If a third party brings a claim against us because you breached this, you will reimburse the damages awarded or settled with your consent and our reasonable, documented costs of defending the claim. This applies only if we tell you about the claim promptly, give you a fair chance to take part in the defence and do not settle without consulting you; it does not cover anything caused by our own breach of these terms or of the law, and it is reduced in proportion to any fault on our side.

8. Data processing (for shop owners)

When you run your shop through Tibo, you are the data controller of your clients’ personal data — their name, email, phone, appointment details, and their conversations with TIBO. Tibo is your data processor and handles that data only to provide the service, on your documented instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for it and for informing your clients about it. For your own account data (login, shop profile, settings), and for running and securing the service, Tibo is the controller; see the Privacy Policy.

We use these sub-processors: Vercel (hosting; runs the application and therefore handles booking data while serving each request); Supabase (database, file storage and owner login); Resend (transactional email (booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations and alerts to shop owners)); Twilio (SMS delivery); Anthropic (AI model provider that generates TIBO's replies); Google (Google Calendar, only for shops that connect it). Google processes data on your behalf only if you connect Google Calendar, and only for your shop. The same list appears in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.

On your behalf TIBO also sends appointment messages to your clients by email and, where your plan includes SMS, by text message; the text messages are sent from the sender name “TiboBooking” and contain an opt-out link. We send only these transactional appointment messages, never marketing SMS. Where a client opts out, we stop texting that number.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, encryption at rest of Google access tokens, row-level access isolation so each shop can access only its own data, and restricted administrative access.

We assist you in responding to your clients’ data-subject requests (access, correction, deletion). Requests are handled manually. Retention differs by data type: customer details on a booking are anonymised 12 months after the appointment; for chat transcripts, support cases, notes and several other data types there is currently no automatic deletion, and they are kept while your account is active (see section 10 of the Privacy Policy). If you stop using Tibo, your shop’s data is deleted or returned to you on request.

By creating an account and using Tibo, you accept these data processing terms.

9. Payment

Tibo does not currently charge for the service or process any payments — there is no billing system yet, and the plans on the pricing page are free during early access. This section is a placeholder; real payment and subscription terms will replace it before any paid plan launches.

10. Governing law, disputes and contact

Questions about these terms? Contact us using the details in the introduction above.

These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, and the competent court in Ljubljana has jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not affect any right a consumer has under mandatory law to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
